Healthy breakfast – make fruit muesli yourself

Prepare a healthy breakfast and make your own fruit muesli is not so difficult.

Unfortunately, many people believe that a store-bought fruit cereal is already a healthy breakfast.

However, if you already want to do something good for your body every morning, you should prepare a fruit muesli completely by yourself according to the following instructions.

1. Ingredients for fruit muesli:

  • 1/2 organic spelt grains and 1/2 organic emmer grains
  • Organic flax seed
  • Wallnuts cracked by yourself
  • various ripe fruit
  • Pasteurized milk from pasture farming or
  • homemade spelt milk

2. Make cereal flakes yourself

The ingredients deliberately refer to “grains” rather than “flakes”. Because these should be homemade in a fruit muesli.

The article “Cereals – healthy or unhealthy?” already explains why cereal products should always be natural.

To make cereal flakes yourself, you need a cereal flaker.

3. Preparation fruit muesli

Vegans or people who prefer spelt milk must already prepare the spelt milk the night before. To do this, use fresh spelt flakes that are chopped up a bit in a blender.

These are then left to swell in water overnight. To make it more flavorful, you can add a tiny bit of organic whole cane sugar.

This thin porridge is passed through a sieve or strained the next morning.

The walnuts are freshly cracked and crushed. Here, too, you should take the appropriate time and not resort to packaged, shelled walnuts from the plastic bag.

Put the freshly prepared spelt and emmer flakes, together with the walnuts and milk in a bowl. I also recommend crushing the flax seeds with the cereal flaker and mixing them with the rest of the ingredients as well.

The last thing you need to do is chop up various fruits and add them as well. In summer, I rely on fruit from my own harvest or free nature.

In winter I like to order fresh, ripe fruit in Portugal from Quinta Shopping in Portugal. Unripe fruit, on the other hand, should be avoided.

And last…Just enjoy and thank nature for this healthy breakfast.
